how it works...

The Mama Mio range works by improving skin tone and increasing skin elasticity through pregnancy.  When pregnant, Omega levels are at their lowest because the baby is using the mother’s Omegas as a food source to make their own healthy bodies.  Therefore, at the point when your skin is about to undergo it’s most challenging test, it is at its weakest. Omega deficiency has a direct effect on the elasticity of your skin, accelerating the aging process. As the skin becomes drier, even itchy, you may notice hair becomes less lustrous and nails may become weak and brittle. These treatments are therefore helpful in supplementing levels of Omega 3, 6 and 9, directly where you need them most – on your skin.  

 

Head First (30 minutes) $50

The scalp, head, neck and shoulders are the focus of this soothing aromatherapy treatment that uses ginger and peppermint to alleviate headaches, morning sickness, and neck and shoulder tension so common during pregnancy.  Great for the postpartum mom as well…

Lighten UP (30 minutes) $55

A massage for lower legs and feet to help with poor circulation, water retention and the tiring affects of carrying an extra load.  They don’t call it a maternity marathon for nothing.

 

The Yummy Tummy (1 hour 15 minutes) $120

This is a facial for you tummy, because it’s your tummy that needs the attention to maximize skin strength, health and elasticity.  Combined with the luxury of an upper back, neck and head massage to ensure it is a full-on stress banishing treat.

 

Mellow Mama (1 hour 15 minutes) $140

A complete body massage using specific pre-natal techniques to help you relax, increase circulation, alleviate tired muscles and reduce excess water retention, focusing on the specific muscles that are responsible for supporting the pregnant tummy.

 

The Smoothie (1 hour 30 minutes) $155

Rejuvenate your skin and clear your mind in preparation for your pending arrival.  The Mama Mio Smoothie will exfoliate your skin oh-so-gently (but effectively) followed by the most moisturising massage to hydrate and elasticise your skin.  A luxurious scalp massage will sweep away your stress, leaving you with skin to rival your baby’s bottom.

4^th Trimester Healing Hour (1 hour) $120

Your baby is here and you are in need of a little rejuvenation.  This restorative massage treatment helps your body realign as you remember how to be one person again.  Sometimes new mothers need a little mothering too making this a perfect present- ideal for up to 6 months after baby arrives.

The Awesome Hour / Daddy’s Turn (1 hour) $90 

Mom’s not the only one preparing for the amazing experience of childbirth.  Whether you’re an expecting or new father or someone in need of an hour of relaxation, this full body massage puts you in place and inline.  *Side by Side (1 Hour 15 minutes) $240

Cast-Away Belly Cast - $150

Honour and preserve your pregnant form in all its full term glory.  Our expert practitioners will paint your abdomen with hypoallergenic moulding material that creates an exact replica of your beautiful belly.
